Imbert Prize Results!

The Lord Imbert JP DL attended the Association of Security Consultants annual lunch at the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly on Thursday, the 23rd June 2005 to present the awards to the winners of the Imbert Prize. One hundred and twenty guests were present including, Lord Mackenzie OBE, and Sir Stanley Bailey CBE, QPM, DL, OStJ, CCMI. Other guests included Bruce George MP, Patrick Mercer MP OBE. The members were addressed by the Association's chairman Mr Christopher Gordon Wilson and Mr Patrick Mercer MP OBE.
The Imbert Prize awards are in three parts: The university dissertation award being an award of L1,000 for a selected dissertation submitted by an academic institution, the winner was Bob Ralph of Portsmouth University work on the use of handcuffs and restraints in the private security industry: The person making the most notable contribution in the security industry in the preceding year, nominated by ASIS, BSIA, IPSA and the SI, as adjudged by the ASC Award Panel, the winner was the IPSA Nominee, Sallyann Baldry, Business Development Manager, Edexcel: The ASC member that has made the most significant contribution to independent security consultancy in the preceding year nominated by the members of the ASC, the winner was Mike Collier of Collier King & Associates.
