A number of outstanding speakers are scheduled for the Association of Security Consultants' annual international conference CONSEC 2011 "Out of Recession to Securing the Future". Now In its 17th year, the conference and exhibition will be held on Thursday 3rd November 2011 at the prestigious venue of the Royal Air Force Museum at Hendon, London. Lord James Bethell, one of the esteemed Patrons of the Association, will provide the Opening Address.
The Keynote Speaker will be Assistant Commissioner Chris Allison MBE who is the Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Olympics and Paralympics and the National Olympic Security Co-ordinator. Mr. Allison will talk about "The Challenge of Securing 2012".
Peter Drissell, Departmental Security Officer, Home Office, will cover "The Impact of Recession - An Increase of the Risk of the Insider Threat".
Another eminent speaker, John Strange, Director of Security, SOCA, will provide details about the economic downturn and the impact on crime.
John Davies, former Head of Security, United Utilities, will talk about recovering from the business downturn in the regulated sector.
"Preparing for an Economic Upturn - Training and Qualifying for the Future" is the title of the presentation to be given by Dr. Alison Wakefield, Institute of Criminal Justice Studies, Portsmouth University.
Peter Clarke CVO OBE QPM, former Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Specialist Operations and now an independent consultant, will be chairing the conference.
