Did you know that an onsite CCTV-related Data Protection Awareness training course is now available for users who would like to develop staff awareness but for whom it would be inconvenient to take personnel offsite?
The course is delivered in just two and a half hours and is suitable for CCTV Managers & Operators, Estates Managers, nominated Data Processors, Site Supervisors and Heads of Security wanting a refresher.
The course includes practical advice on constructing an effective CCTV Policy Document, Information Commissioner’s Office registration, the Eight DPA Principles and their practical consequences for CCTV operations (statutory obligations, constraints on camera use and the retention and disclosure of images), together with practical advice on compliant management documentation and record keeping.
The course is especially useful for anyone involved in use of a scheme which includes an element of Public Space coverage, and the benefits to all delegates and their organisations include improved confidence in the use of their system, better-informed day-to-day decisions and a reduced risk of accusations of non-compliance being levelled against their organisation.
