TAVCOM/ASC TRAINING DAY
ASSOCIATION OF SECURITY CONSULTANTS
_________________________________________________
Members of the Association of Security Consultants (ASC) were recent guests of Tavcom Training for an educational day. Mike Tennent, member of the ASC, kindly hosted the CPD event at Tavcom's Training Centre in Hampshire.
The day commenced with an interesting presentation of how professional letters can be added following names after attending BTEC courses.
An excellent programme included details of the latest thermal imaging hardware, a video analytics update, the complexities of BT 21CN, views on the National CCTV Strategy, whether a CCTV system is 'fit for purpose' and some problems highlighted, where IP is now and the modern approach to counter eavesdropping procedures and techniques.
Practical workshops were also included, with demonstrations of external detection laser technology.
Mike Tennent, Managing Director of Tavcom Training, wound up the formal proceedings with a Q&A session with the panel of eminent speakers.
Roy Sutherland expressed his thanks to Mike and the speakers. He also presented Fred Herring with his certificate of Associate Membership of the ASC.
Roy said, "It was a very helpful day. Of particular interest to me as ASC Chairman was the presentation on the BTEC courses in view of the ASC continuously striving towards greater excellence and its involvement in the process of licensing security consultants".
