Hans March

ASC Imbert Award 2024 Finalist

Hans was born and raised in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) where he began his career as an administrator for a life assurance company. He undertook studies with the Chartered Insurance Institute, achieving fellowship status in the United Kingdom. The aftermath of the events of 9-11 provided Hans with an opportunity to apply his risk skills to fighting financial crime, leading to a career in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF). He furthered his career in Australia working for several high-profile banks and financial institutions, setting up and remediating AML/CTF risk-based frameworks before being appointed Money Laundering Reporting Officer at a large international bank. In 2022, Hans returned to the UK to complete a master’s degree at Cranfield University in Counterterrorism, Risk Management, and Resilience.

Nick Morant

Director of Security Partnerships and Community Safety, Team London Bridge Business Improvement District,

Nick Morant is the Director of Security Partnerships and Community Safety at Team London Bridge Business Improvement District, a position he has held since January 2024. In this role, he focuses on fostering cohesive and collaborative security strategies for the London Bridge area, enhancing safety and community well-being. Operationally, Nick coordinates the London Bridge Security and Resilience Forum, facilitating discussions and initiatives to address threats to businesses, including theft, burglary, staff harassment, and protest activities. Additionally, he organises regular meetings with licensed venues to ensure a proactive approach to security challenges. Prior to joining Team London Bridge, Nick served as a police officer for 16 years, beginning his career in Southwark in November 2007. His dedication and bravery were recognised during the London riots of 2011, where he received a Commander's Commendation for his actions in managing gang violence and public disorder. He was also deployed to major events, including the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012, the NATO Summit 2014 and the G7 Summit 2021, showcasing his experience in large-scale security operations. Prior to leaving the Police, Nick was the funded police officer for Team London Bridge. He worked closely with local security and police services to address the aftermath of the terrorist attacks at London Bridge in both 2017 and 2019. Since leaving the Metropolitan Police, Nick is committed to building on the successes achieved in the London Bridge area, where crime has continued to fall and theft rates have reached their lowest levels since September 2022.

Nathan Emmerich

Founder of SW-One Communications - Martyn's Law - why we're here and what next

Nathan Emmerich provides an insight into the reasons why Figen Murray OBE launched the campaign for Martyn's Law and how the campaign maintained momentum right up until Royal Assent was confirmed on Thursday 3 April 2025. Reflecting on the role of communications and media engagement, Nathan provides an overview of what is needed throughout the implementation period, before the SIA officially begins to enforce the requirements set out in the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025.

Jon Squires

Head of Tech Partnerships and Enterprise Solutions, Synectics - Developing Collaborative Surveillance Solutions

Jon Squires explores how AI-powered surveillance and integrated technologies can enhance public safety through improved collaboration and real-time threat detection. Drawing on lessons from the 2022 Commonwealth Games, he outlines how multi-agency coordination, cloud-based tools, and privacy-conscious AI can overcome traditional security challenges. The session offers practical insights for consultants preparing clients for compliance under the UK Terrorism Act and the evolving threat landscape.

Scott Cullimore

Evolv Technology

Scott Cullimore is first and foremost a sports fan who happens to have spent the last 17 years within the security industry. He sees Sport as a platform to test yourself, to see if the solution to the challenge could be found and to see if the desired result or performance could be obtained or improved. This, for him, is no different for Security solutions. For the early part of his career, at Chelsea Football Club, he provided solutions to performers and athletes through listening, coaching, and mentoring to achieve goals and targets. Security solutions are very similar in that they are about listening, coaching, teamwork and understanding how each individual element of the solution plugs together, the effects these individual elements can have on each other and the desired result everyone shares. Scott currently serves Channel Director EMEA as well as being the international lead for Sports Events at Evolv Technology. Scott has travelled the world providing security solutions for iconic events and venues including The London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, Mineirão, Mané Garrincha & Maracanã in Brazil, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Sochi 2014, Melbourne Cricket Club, UEFA Finals & Major Events in 2024.
