Mike Cahalane

Mike Collier has provided these words ‘He was probably one of the best-known figures in the Intruder Alarm Industry having started with AFA and subsequently running Shield Security in London as its Managing Director. Later he became a Director of Britannia Security PLC and afterwards, working as a Security Consultant, he with two other close friends founded the Association of Security Consultants. In years past he was heavily involved in the industry trade associations, regulatory bodies and of course British Standards. He leaves behind a wife and daughters and many good friends’.

As current ASC Chairman I can honestly state that Mike remained engaged and fully committed to the ASC until the very end. A staunch supporter of the Association and of all its members Mike was a tenacious champion for the profession and for promoting the highest standards- we have all benefited from this. His drive, energy and wise counsel will be sorely missed by me, and I am sure many others too.

May Mike Cahalane MASC RISC Rest in Peace, and may his family and friends take some comfort in knowing the high regard in which he was held and the valuable contribution he made in life.

Kind regards to all.
