Nick is Commercial Director and Senior Consultant of IJA with over 18 years experience in advising on all aspects of security risk.
He has undertaken a number of influential roles advising high profile clients on security strategy, formulating security policy and procedures, designing and overseeing the installation of integrated security systems, evaluating and setting up corporate security divisions, undertaking complex security reviews and risk assessments, assessing security personnel and performance of security contractors and advising on security for major corporate and public events.
Nicks experience also extends to many other areas of security include advising on security operations and the recruitment of senior management, staff training, advising on crisis management and business continuity, VIP and personal security, undertaking internal investigations and advising on counter terrorism and technical counter surveillance measures (TCSM).
He has been retained as a security adviser to many leading international banks, law firms and FTSE 100 companies and previously filled the contracted post of Corporate Security Adviser for the global Headquarters of ICI.
He is also an Art Security Specialist having advised mainly leading international museums, art dealers and galleries on security, risk and exhibition design. Key clients include The British Museum, The Wallace Collection, The National Museum of Norway, Chatsworth House, The Courtauld Institute of Art, Kelvingrove Museum, Christies and Sotheby's to name a few.
He has extensive knowledge of industry best practice, British Standards, and Codes of Practice with regards to manned guarding, mobile patrol and key holding services, cash in transit operations, integrated security systems including access control and intruder alarm systems, security of buildings against crime and the implementation of CCTV schemes and Data Protection implications.
Nick is an appointed technical expert for the United Kingdom Accreditation Service and a member of the International Council of Museums. He also gained a Masters in International Business Administration at the Ecole Superieur de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Risk And Security Management from Cranfield University.
